In order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the City University of Macau and to enhance the research and analysis capabilities of our
graduate and doctoral students, the Faculty of International Tourism and Management invited Professor Wong, IpKin Anthony from the
School of Tourism Management, Sun Yat-Sen University to conduct a Quantitative Research Method Workshop (Structural Equation
Modelling) from March 16th to March 19th. Around 40 graduate students from our faculty attended the workshop.
During the workshop, Professor Wong combined with scientific research experience mainly taught how to use SPSS and AMOS data statistics software to perform parameter testing, hypothesis testing, variance analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, statistical analysis of
moderating effects and intermediary effects, and how to craft a quantitative analysis paper.
After the workshop, the students had a lively discussion with Professor Wong on the problems encountered in the current study, and
Professor Wong responded to them in turn. The atmosphere of the lecture was relaxed and active and It left a deep impression on the
teachers and students. It not only allowed them to learn statistical methods, but also mastered the writing skills of quantitative analysis paper.
Professor Wong, IpKin Anthony 's main research areas are cultural heritage tourism, destination branding, e-tourism and social media,
tourism motivation, tourism marketing, etc. He has leaded and participated in a number of projects such as the National Natural Science
Foundation of China, the 13th Five-Year Plan for Educational Science of Guangdong Province, and the 2019 University Philosophy and Social Science Research Project, and published nearly a hundred papers in top academic journals.
