On the afternoon of April 26, 2021, Assistant Professor Cindy Wang, the Programme Coordinator of the Faculty of International Tourism and Management, led a team of 2020 doctoral students to the Zhuhai Grand Theatre to visit and study.

Zhuhai Grand Theater is a new landmark of Zhuhai city culture. It is the only opera house built on the island in China. It has a total

construction area of 59,000 square meters, including a 1,550-seat Grand Theater, 550-seat multi-functional small theater, etc. The large and

small theaters are shaped like the sun and the moon. The model is located in Yelidao, Lovers Road, Zhuhai City.

During this visit, Wenzhong Wu, deputy general manager of Zhuhai Urban Construction Poly Grand Theater Management Co., Ltd. warmly

welcomed the teachers and students, and led the students to visit the Zhuhai Grand Theater Concert Hall and Opera Hall, explaining in detail 

the construction and operation of Zhuhai Grand Theater development path. The meaning of Zhuhai Grand Theatre is not only to build a high quality theater, but to create a unique building with original creativity, regionality and art for Zhuhai, which can perfectly express the cultural

characteristics and romantic feelings of this city. After the visit, the students expressed that they have deepened their understanding of

various aspects of the actual operation and management of cultural tourism enterprises, and gained a lot.

In recent years, the Faculty of International Tourism and Management of City University of Macau has continuously expanded cooperation

channels and established close cooperative relations with many well-known tourism companies in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao

Greater Bay Area. In the future, CityU FITM will continue to strengthen cooperation with Zhuhai cultural tourism enterprises in exchanges and internships, and jointly cultivate a new generation of tourism professionals in the Bay Area.
