Macao Youth Convention and Exhibition Cultural Association held a special sharing event for City University of Macau


On 15th November 2021, Faculty of International Tourism and Management (FITM) of City University of Macau invited Macao Youth

Convention and Exhibition Cultural Association (MYCECA) to hold a sharing event named “Event U-Sharing @City U”. Xi Li, Executive

Associate Dean of FITM, Cindy Wang and Wendy Gao, Programme Coordinator of FITM, Liona Ieong, Internship and International Exchange

Coordinator of FITM, and the Faculty convention major students participated.

 

Professor Xi Li gave an opening speech and welcomed all the guests.  He said that FITM has always adhered to the concept of industry-

academic integration, continuously strengthen the cooperation between industry and university, and is committed to nurturing the high

quality talents in the convention industry with international perspectives, it is an honor to invite many outstanding young representatives in

the industry to share experiences, and hope that students will make use of this valuable opportunities, to gain insights and inspiration.

 

Ms. Giselle Lo, Operating Director of StarMac Entertainment was specially invited as guest in the event.  Through the topic sharing on

“Online development of Convention and Exhibition” and the seminar on “Diversification of Online promotion”, students were introduced to interesting experiences in organizing events, this has given students a more accurate understanding of the real world of the convention

industry.  Afterwards, the guest and students had interactive exchanges.

 

MYCECA is committed to promoting local youth Convention and exhibition culture, in hope to promote the knowledge of local university

students on convention and exhibition industry through event sharing, to increase their interest, and to provide students with useful

information about their future employment. FITM will further focus on training “practical” talents, practice the concept of knowledge and

skilled education, cultivate students’ practical ability, and organize more professional events.  FITM also hopes that the two sides will

maintain close cooperation in the future, to jointly promote the development of tourism in higher education and cultivate future young

talents for convention and exhibitions industry.
