FITM Students visited Studio City and gained an in-depth understanding of the corporate social responsibility implementation programs

On November 12, 2025, Associate Professor Esther Kou Iok Teng, coordinator of master program, led a group of graduate students on a site

visit to Studio City Macau. During the visit, students gained a systematic understanding of the property’s human-resources management

system, including individual staff-development plans, employee-benefit mechanisms, the AutoValet smart uniform-management system used by employees, and leisure and recreation facilities. Through on-site observation, students obtained a more intuitive grasp of local tourism and leisure enterprises.

Then, team member of Studio City gave a briefing on the company's concrete corporate-social-responsibility initiatives. Students learned

that guest rooms have switched to more eco-friendly glass water bottles, sharply cutting single-use plastics. The resort also operates a charity boutique that sells handicrafts handmade or packaged by people with special needs, providing tangible support for their employment and

daily lives.

As one of the industry's pacesetters, Studio City Macau has long championed employee well-being and conscientious corporate citizenship, steadily advancing staff-care programs and responsible operations. The visit gave students deeper insight into how a hotel can put social

responsibility into practice, broadened their understanding of Macao’s tourism-and-hospitality sector, and furnished invaluable experience

for their future research and careers.
