FITM Students Participate at the 3rd Global Touris


Graduate students of FITM of City U, including those recommended by the UNWTO and students from France, Zambia, Thailand, Mainland China and other countries, were attended the 3rd Global Tourism Economy Forum • Macau 2014. Led  by Dr. Leou, the students had a unique opportunity to witness The Maritime Silk Road—Start from Macau. The forum attracted many participants including first time attendees from Middle Eastern countries like the United Arab Emirates and Dubai.


At the opening ceremony, the students listened to tourism ministers from different countries, internationally famous business leaders, experts and scholars who discussed the strategic intercontinental cooperation and business opportunities of the countries along the Maritime Silk Road and domestic provinces. After the meeting, teachers and students proceeded to the University Hall of the University of Macau, and watched a ballet presented by the Fujian Province Dance Drama – Dream of Maritime Silk Road. The ballet was based on elements from the Fujian local opera. After the activity, teachers and students reviewed their experience and discussed the event. They all indicated their enthusiasm in more events of similar nature as they felt they had benefitted from the experience.
