On June 19，2021, the "Hainan-Macau Youth Forum for the Construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port" was grandly held in Haikou. The

event was co-organized by the Hainan Provincial Youth Federation, the Academy of International Tourism and Regional Development, and

the Hainan Young Entrepreneurs Association, and was supervised by the Communist Youth League's Hainan Provincial Committee. The goal

of this event is to put into action the spirit of the speeches given by Macao Special Administrative Region Chief Executive He Yicheng and

Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Hainan Communist Youth League Shen Xiaoming at the 2021 Annual Conference of the Boao

Forum for Asia in April this year, as well as to promote Hainan-Macao industrial cooperation and youth cultural exchanges.

15 Macao experts, scholars, and industry representatives met with youth representatives from Hainan Province under the leadership of Li

Yongxian, Director of Education and Youth Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region. Dr. Li Xi, Executive Associate Dean of FITM, and Assistant Professor Dr. Esther Kou both gave keynote speeches at the

forum. Dr. Li Xi delivered a speech that ranged from the enlightenment of Macau's construction of the International Tourism and Leisure

Center to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and tourism development. Dr. Esther Kou shared her research travel and youth

education and training experiences.

The Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League provided guidance and strong support for this event. The Hainan

Provincial Committee's Secretary Chen Yu delivered a speech and participated in the forum throughout the process. The youth interaction

between Hainan and Macau has also gotten a lot of attention from the media. People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League's official WeChat account, Hainan Daily, Macau Daily, and numerous other authoritative media outlets covered the event.
