FITM students' works shortlisted for national university artwork exhibition

Recently, "The vicissitudes of history," an art work created by two students in their second year of master's studies at the Faculty of International Tourism and Management (FITM) of the City University of Macau, Yuan Gao  and Sifan Duan, was recently selected for the National

Exhibition of Art Works of Universities.

The vicissitudes of history" is a mixed-media work with a historical backdrop that uses brilliant colors and forceful brush strokes to convey a

dynamic historical picture by depicting images and stories of significant individuals and events in history. The jury praised the work's deep

historical relevance, distinct artistic expression, and exceptional technical quality.

Since its inception in 1995, the National Exhibition of College Art Works has held 13 sessions and garnered excellent feedback and

participation from professors, students, and industry professionals. This year's exhibition includes painting, sculpture, calligraphy, printing,

photography, and other categories, with approximately 500 pieces from prominent Chinese colleges representing a diverse spectrum of

modern art forms and techniques.

Master of International Hospitality Management Degree Program (Chinese Academic System) Year 2 Students

Yuan Gao:

I am very grateful to the judges for recognizing and awarding my art work. This award means a lot to me, and it encourages me to continue a career in art. In the process of creating this piece of artwork, I tried many new techniques and expressions. This process not only improved my painting skills, but it also helped me understand the connotation and spirit of art. At the same time, I also deeply felt the support and

encouragement from my teachers, classmates, family and friends in the process of obtaining this honor. Without their support and

encouragement, I could not have made it this far. In the end, I will treasure this honor and will put more effort into art creation. I believe that

as long as I maintain my passion and hard work, I will be able to become a better artist. Once again, I thank the judges for their recognition

and support.
