On 17th March 2021, teachers and students of the Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences (CCBS) of the University of Macau visited the
Faculty of International Tourism and Management (FITM) of the City University of Macau, and had a campus tour and exchange meeting,
they were warmly welcomed by Associate Professor Li Xi, Executive Associate Dean of FITM and Assistant Professor Cindy Wang, the
Programme Coordinator.
Assistant Professor Wu Haiyan of CCBS of the University of Macau introduced the center as a multidisciplinary research center dedicated to
promoting interdisciplinary research and cooperation in the fields of cognition and brain science. The research center mainly includes four
research platforms: Neuroimaging, brain intervention, cognitive and behavioral testing, and high-performance computing.
At the exchange meeting, after Associate Professor Li Xi gave a welcome speech, Assistant Professor Cindy Wang introduced the basic
information of the FITM, including the curriculum design, professional courses learning and planning, and the characteristics of teaching
equipment.
Associate Professor Li Xi said that the FITM has been committed to promoting research cooperation in the fields of AR technology, artificial intelligence, and tourism in recent years, and can perform a series of academic cooperation, student exchanges, and other activities with the
research center. The two parties exchanged opinions on teacher-student exchanges and professional research cooperation and agreed that
the cooperation between the two parties is suitable for undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students to participate in all stages, especially
to provide strong support and development for master and doctoral research, and there is great potential for cooperation in regarding
cross-professional and cross-university scientific research. This visit helps to promote academic and professional exchanges and further
cooperation between students from universities in Macau.
