The delegation from Hansei University led by Dean Zhang H.Y, Dean of InternationalCollege of the university visited City U recently to enhance mutual

understanding and to discuss future academic exchanges between the two universities. The delegation was warmly welcomed by a group of professors led by

Dr. Li X, Assistant Dean of the FITM.

Dr. Li X introduced the development of City U to the guests and shared his in-depth analysis of higher education development and student learning situations in Macau. Dean Zhang was deeply impressed by the rapid development of administrative affairs of City U and the efforts of City U in helping develop the quality of Macau higher education. The guests highly praised the achievements of the FITM in earning the UNWTO TedQual Certification. They were also impressed with the international exchange programs and of the SCS being the Macau test center for SAT, TOFEL ibt, and TOEIC which all showcase the efforts of City U in promoting

the international image of Macau.

Dean Zhang similarly introduced Hansei University to the professors of City U. Established in 1953, the University originally started as the Full Gospel Theological

College and changed its name to Soonshin University. In 1997, the name was finally changed to Hansei University. It has currently eight departments including

Media and Communication Arts, Business Administration, Humanity and Social Science, Information Technology, Music, Design, and Nursing.

The Humanity and Social Science Department of Hansei University has an International Tourism Bachelor Program which matches the counterpart of the FITM

City U. Dean Zhang and Dr. Li X both expressed intentions of further promoting teacher and student exchanges and cooperation between the two schools and

agreed to keep following up the idea.
