On March 8, a spa wellness seminar was held by the Faculty of International Tourism and Management. Dr. Theresa Chew-Tan, Founder and Chairwoman of Asia
Spa Academy, together with Ms Tashi Goh, Vice President (Chinese Division) of Spa & Wellness Association Singapore were invited to share their precious spa
experience for both morning and afternoon sessions, with a total of over 200 participants attending this meaningful event.
Dr. Theresa Chew-Tan delivered a speech on“Enhance Your Spa Skills And Employability in the Billion Dollar Spa Wellness Industry”. She introduced the
dimension of wellness and its enhancement. The highlight of the seminar was pinpointing the Global Wellness Economy and the Hospitality Spa Career.
Students whose major study is Leisure & Spa could benefit from knowing the details and getting prepared for this dynamic and diversified career.
The afternoon session entitled “Aroma Therapy and Healing” was delivered by Ms. Tashi Goh who possesses over 25 years of spa teaching experience. Her
speech was well received and gained high popularity, not only among students, but also professors and other academic staff who do care about improving their
health. Ms. Goh showed how to mix aroma oil and its various applications for healing one's health.
The climax of the workshop was the treatment session and all participants could enjoy a 3-steps Beautifying Hand Treatment. All participants could gain either
relaxing, enlightening or refreshing treatment effect. This was a great arrangement to end a wellness joyful seminar.
