A visit to Taiwan National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism was led by Dr. Gavin Chau, Executive Associate Dean of Faculty of International Tourism and Management (FITM) of City University of Macau, together with student representatives from Bachelor Program as well as our Program Coordinator Dr. Cindy Wang and the Head Officer of Domestic & International Affairs, Ms. Emico Zhang between 16 to 18 August 2017.

Accompanied by Dr. John C. Huang, Professor of National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, our team visited the campus and the Elite House

(Educational Hotel) of National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism. Dr. Gavin Chau introduced the history, current situation and future development plans of FITM. Both sides shared information regarding internship program and practical curriculum for the students. During the meeting, FITM students shared

their study experiences and feeling towards Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism. Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism is the only

university focusing on Hospitality and Tourism in Taiwan. Their course Hotel Management (Department of Hotel Management) is considered as the most

outstanding in the industry. After this field trip, the students had a deeper understanding of their study and learned more about the hotel industry in Taiwan.
