[Academic Trends] A Radical Unfolding: Utopianism against Complicity

On April 12, the Faculty of International Tourism and Management invited John Storey, Emeritus Professor of the University of Sunderland, to give a lecture titled "A Radical Unfolding: Utopianism Against Complicity" at Ho Yin Convention Centre. Dean Prof. Kevin Hannam, Assistant

Prof. Ho-Kai Chan, and teachers and students of FITM attended the lecture.

Prof. John Storey introduced the "blueprint utopianism" and "radical utopianism" to students, as well as the cultural background and history

of their development. During the lecture, students actively interacted with Prof. John Storey, and further discussed topics such as the

"possibility of future development of Utopian culture".

Prof. John Storey specializes in cultural studies and has published extensively in this field. Since the development of tourism is inseparable

from the development of culture, he hoped that the lecture can help broaden the students' perspectives.
