On 25^th July, 2020, “Macao Tertiary Institution Students Conference Challenge 2019/2020 - Final”, organized by The Macao Convention & Exhibition Association (MCEA) – Youth Committee, was held online.  Under the support of Associate Dean, Gavin Chau and instructed by Assistant professor, 

Wang Xin, FITM students (Lu Yan, Angela Cervantes, Liu Xinyu and Zhou Quan) won the third runner up.

A total of 13 teams from different universities and colleges participated in the competition this year, and 5 teams were selected for the finals, they 
were City University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology, University of Macau and Macao Institute for Tourism Studies.  The jury 
composed of influential and well-known professional companies in the convention and exhibition industry, judged that City University of Macau won 
the third runner-up with a proposal entitled "2021 Macau Sustainable Food Development Forum and Exhibition".

This year is the third consecutive year that the “Macao Tertiary Institution Students Conference Challenge” has been held. The purpose of the event is to hope that through participating in the competition, students will learn more about the relevant information and operations of the convention industry, which will help students find employment and promote the industry. City University of Macau Faculty of International Tourism and Management is

committed to cultivating students' comprehensive qualities, encouraging students to combine classroom theory with practice, and vigorously

supporting students to actively participate in various competitions to exercise professional skills, achieving great results.
