The 2021/2022 Course Quality Assurance Meeting of FITM Successfully Held


On August 11, 2022, the Faculty of International Tourism and Management held a meeting of the course quality assurance for the academic

year of 2021/2022. The meeting was convened by Professor Li Xi, Executive Vice Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Shen Huawen,

Director of Graduate Programs, Associate Professor Wang Xin, Director of Undergraduate Programs, Associate Professor Gao Bo, Director of

External Affairs and Academic Activities Program, and specially-appointed consultants from local and mainland industries and academia.

Gather together and adopt an online method to make suggestions for the development of the college's curriculum and quality assurance.

 

 

The course quality assurance consultants hired by the faculty this year include: Professor Qiu Hanqin, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and

Service, Nankai University, Professor Daisy Fan, Bournemouth University, Professor Chu Deping, Fujian Normal University, Zhu Haisheng,

Chairman of Opal International (Macau) Exhibition Group Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Huafa Deputy General Manager of Administration Department,

Provincial Star Reviewer Dr. Gao Xian, etc.

 

Executive Vice Dean Li Xi and the course directors first introduced the development achievements of the faculty in the past two years to the

participating members. Then the graduate representatives talked about their feelings and expectations of studying in the faculty from the

perspectives of their own learning experience and expectations. The advisory committee members all agreed with the overall development

direction and achievements of the faculty. The experts also discussed how to better integrate into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, how to effectively promote industry-university cooperation, improve students' academic and scientific research capabilities, and

strengthen foreign cooperation and exchanges. etc. have been discussed in depth. The experts provided good suggestions for the

development of the faculty from their respective perspectives and expertise.

 

Finally, Executive Vice President Li Xi expressed his gratitude to all the advisory committee members for taking the time to attend. The faculty will fully refer to the opinions of experts and continuously optimize the future development of the faculty.
