The 3rd National College Business Elite Challenge: "Exhibition Planning (Emergency Plan) Creativity Competition" took place recently. This
competition was jointly organized by the China Council of International Trade Business Industry Promotion Committee, the China Chamber of International Commerce, and the National Vocational Education Exhibition Planning and Professional Management Resource Bank. Three
participating teams from the Faculty of International Tourism and Management of City University of Macau won a national second prize.
A total of 612 teams from 156 universities in 23 provinces and regions participated in the competition. After a professional committee
selection panel had preliminary judged the students' work, a total of 492 winning projects were selected, including 127 first prizes, 210
second prizes, and 155 a third prizes. All three participating teams from FITM successfully advanced to the national finals. In the national
finals, the work "Macau Grand Prix Emergency Management Plan" by Hong Manlin, Li Renjie, and Yang Zixuan supervised by Associate
Professor Cindy Wang Xin, and the works by Wang Dantong, Ma Weiqianqian, and Jiang Peilin supervised by Lecturer Joel Lo Ribeiro "Macao Light and Film Festival Crowd Management Plan", as well as "Macau Food Festival Crowd Management Plan" by Qiu Hanzhang, Liang Xiwen,
and Wang Xuanyi supervised by Lecturer Zaneta Lo, have all won a national second prize.
Students said that this competition is a real combat, which not only brought them thinking about dealing with exhibition emergencies, but
also improved their emergency management ability, risk prevention awareness and social responsibility. They expressed their gratitude to the school and the supervisors for their help and support, which facilitated their learning and innovation through this competition.
Through this competition, not only did the students’ teamwork, innovation and entrepreneurship abilities were enhanced, but also the
interest and potential of the students in learning and applying the knowledge related to exhibition management have been further
stimulated. By solving practical problems in the industry, it cultivates students' awareness and literacy of coping with crises and preventing
risks, and also improves the level of emergency management capabilities of students in their future careers.
