Dr. Po-Ju Chen,  U.S. Fulbright Scholar, Shanghai City Government Overseas Scholar, specializes in social psychology, with an emphasis on consumer behavior, entrepreneurship and innovation, generational studies, sustainability and cross-cultural research. She has published articles in several leading academic research journals. Her works have received over 1,000 citations and have earned several awards and recognitions for academic contributions.

 

Her teaching areas include research methodology, case studies, entrepreneurship and strategic management, innovation, marketing, human resources management, leadership and strategic management, event management, tourism management and tourism geography. Her efforts earned the 2012 John Wiley & Sons Award for Innovation in Teaching, 2012/2015 Teaching/Research Awards. Dr. Chen was the UCF-Walt Disney World Guest Services Management, and, the Leadership and Strategic Management instructor.

 

Dr. Chen focuses on industry partnership and community outreach, on a national and international scale. She served as the 2010 President of the Florida/Caribbean Chapter of Council of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Educators (FL-Caribbean CHRIE). She was the primary data analyst for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Body of Knowledge (2014-2016) Currently, Dr. Chen is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science (Consumer Behavior), the Assistant Editor of the International Interdisciplinary Business-Economics Advancement Journal, the honorary president of the Asia-Pacific Tourism Summit Research Association (Macau).
