On March 26, 2021, as our university celebrates its 40th anniversary, the Faculty of International Tourism and Management successfully held

an academic seminar - "Small Hotel, Big World" at the Hexian Conference Center HG02. We are honored to invite Dr. Yan Gao, representative

of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, to share her experience in hotel management with students.

Dr. Yan Gao has more than 20 years of hotel management experience and has served as the general manager of several hotels in the

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. At the same time, she is also engaged in tourism higher education and professional

training in Macau universities, and has accumulated 15 years of experience in tourism higher education and training. In this lecture, Dr. Yan

Gao interpreted the understanding of the hotel industry from the perspective of a hotelier, and at the same time shared the experience and 

cases of hotel managers using limited resources to achieve organizational goals. The lecture stimulated students to understand the hotel

industry from multiple angles and deepened their understanding of theoretical knowledge in the field of hotel management. During the

period, the students and Dr. Yan Gao had a lively discussion.
