Academic Members were invited to participate in the Asia-Pacific Talent Summit Forum


On April 18-19, 2024, ATD and Wynn Macau, Limited, co-organized this initial event in Macau. The two-day event is supported by the Macao

Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), and the Macao Education and Youth

Development Bureau. This event brings together almost 200 senior talent development executives and senior professionals from leading

firms across the Asia-Pacific region, including China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia to explore cutting-edge technologies and

share best practices.

 

The opening ceremony for the talent development event was held on April 19 at the Wynn Palace Grand Theater Ballroom. Esther Iok Teng

Kou, Master Programme Coordinator and Janice Yin Man Law, Senior Lecturer were invited to participate in the event. The ATD Macau Summit focuses on 'Applying Learning Technology and Innovation in Talent Development’. The Summit aims to explore how learning technologies

can best support the work in talent development to help learners, leaders, and organizations quickly seize new opportunities that make an

impact.

 

 

 

Many international experts in the field of talent development shared their insights during the forum and summit. The event featured two

keynote speakers on both days – Ms. Megan Torrance, CEO and Founder of TorranceLearning and Mr. Bob Gerard, Director of Learning

Ingenuity at Accenture. Ms. Torrance talked about the trends of “Learning Technology in Action” and implementing a strategic roadmap for the Learning Technology ecosystem, while Mr. Gerard shared how Accenture internally designs engaging learning journeys that have a lasting positive impact on learners.

 

 

 

The event also invited Mr. Victor Zhang, President of Huawei University to talk about Huawei University's enterprise enablement exploration

in the era of AI. Two experts from South Korea – Mr. Chan Lee, Professor of Vocational Education and Workforce Development for Seoul

National University and Ms. Jae Eun Kim, CEO of Incoaching, explained how behavioral science assessments are crucial in driving digital

transformation.

 

 

Having hear exciting speeches from international experts, engage in in-depth co-creation with talent development executives from many

leading companies, learn first-hand information on talent development trends in the Asia-Pacific region. The summit provides insight and

inspiration for enterprise development to promote the development and innovation of human resources, as well as inspiring our academic

members at Faculty of International and Tourism Management to continue and discuss related issues.
