At the beginning of the 2015/2016 academic year, FITM of City University of Macau welcomed a new group of exchange students from France, Morocco, Zambia, and Taiwan. Teachers and students of FITM organized a series of orientation activities to help the exchange students adapting to the new living and learning environment.

The FITM arranges local student assistants for the exchange students every year and the assistance covers airport pick-up, dorm settlement, guidance on daily routine and study counselling. The assistance, embodying local cultural features and hospitality, bridges the language and cultural gap and helps the exchange students adapting to the environment.

Teachers and local students of FITM espouse activities with local features to further enrich the exchange students’ life in Macau. The activities include orientation meeting, English Corners, watching International Fireworks Competition Show, Mid-autumn Party, and many others.

Since its establishment in September 2011, the FITM actively promotes overseas student exchanges and communication and has signed cooperation agreements with world famous universities and institutions including Florida International University, Florida State University, University of Hawaii, in the USA, ESC Troyes, France, EAHM of U.A.E., Middlesex University from the U.K, among many others. Foreign students coming from sister schools around the world are now studying in FITM and many FITM students have taken part in overseas exchanges and communication programs as well, broadening their international horizons and enhancing their overall competencies. FITM City U has developed into a sizable university and the students of the faculty come from over twenty countries and regions, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, U.S.A, France, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, Gambia, Zambia, Morocco, and others.
