Student feedback:
Hu Ruiyue, a second-year student of the Master of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (English)
Participating in this World Study Tour Conference was an extremely valuable experience. With the encouragement of my supervisor,
Dr. IokTeng Esther Kou, I developed a strong interest in study tours. During the conference, I was fortunate to interact and communicate with professionals and students in the tourism field from around the world, experiencing different regional cultural customs and tourism situations in person. Especially the in-depth discussions with experts such as Dr. Tian and Director Ma from the academic and tourism fields have greatly broadened my international perspective, enhanced my professional knowledge level, and further stimulated my enthusiasm and desire to
explore the field of study tours. I will take this opportunity to continuously improve myself, enhance my sense of social responsibility, and
contribute to the sustainable development of the tourism industry.
Deng Ruiyu, a second-year student of the Master of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (English)
I am honored to have the opportunity to attend the“World Research Travel Conference 2024”in Penang, Malaysia. Under the careful
guidance and full support of my mentor, Dr. Au WaiChing Wilson, I went abroad to communicate with industry-related experts and scholars
from 13 countries and regions around the world to broaden my vision. The pre-conference tour left a deep impression on me, as I explored
the UNESCO World Heritage Site in George Town, Penang Hill Nature Reserve, and other cultural and natural landscapes. Through this
experience, I gained an understanding of Malaysia's rich history, culture, and environment while also realizing the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility in study tourism. As a student majoring in International Hospitality and Tourism Management, this
conference will be a valuable experience for me that adds vitality and motivation to my professional development. It also provides new ideas
and directions for my career growth.
