In order to enhance the academic exchanges between the doctoral students of the school, enhance the scientific research awareness and

stimulate the research interest of the students, our faculty specially held research seminar on January 13, 2022. This research seminar invited

three of outstanding doctoral graduates from our school to share their l journeys in scientific research and publication of results. More than

30 doctoral students participated in this academic exchange through a combination of online and offline methods.

Dr. Wu Xiaohong has successfully published several high-level international academic journal papers since completing the PhD program in

International Tourism Management. In this salon, Dr. Wu Xiaohong was invited to share the experience of scientific research and publication

with the students. Taking a research she is currently conducting as an example, she discusses the construction of research models, as well as

the way of thinking and the mental process of finding academic gaps. Her presentation brought a lot of inspiration to many doctoral students present, especially the first-year doctoral students.

Speech by Assistant Professor Wu Xiaohong

Dr. Jiang Juan and Dr. Su Xinwei, the graduate representatives of our school, shared their opinions on the adjustment of their mentality in

publishing scientific research results and their thoughts on doctoral studies. Dr. Jiang Juan pointed out that the publication of scientific

research results cannot be achieved overnight, and encouraged the juniors and seniors to seize the precious opportunities in the process of

successful scientific research submissions, constantly review their academic deficiencies, and maintain a good attitude at the same time. On

the other hand, Dr. Xinwei Su provided some practical suggestions for the doctoral students participating in the salon activities based on his

own experience during the study of doctoral students, including how to plan their own doctoral study life. He also encouraged the doctoral

students to persevere. To complete their own set goals, make good use of school resources, learn from mentors, and be good at researching

research methods and analytical techniques.

The holding of this academic seminar was well received by the doctoral students. Many doctoral students expressed their hope that the

college can organize more similar activities in the future to answer their questions.

Our faculty will adhere to the purpose of providing more learning platforms for students, actively respond to the needs of students, and

provide more diversified platforms for students' scientific research and learning, so that more students can benefit from it.
