Diverse Talent Cultivation Begins to Show Results, FITM Students Win Awards in Interdisciplinary Events

The Faculty of International Tourism and Management (FITM) has always placed a high value on cross-disciplinary growth and aspires to

cultivate multi-talented individuals for the Greater Bay Area. In the past few years, FITM has encouraged students to actively participate in

various competitions in order to improve their professional skills and establish a positive academic environment of "competition for learning".

In recent years, teachers and students of FITM have not only won many awards in the field of tourism and hotel management, but also actively participated in academic activities in the fields of art and design, dancing, music, short video production, language and writing, etc., and

achieved some promising results.

Recently, Student Zelu Yuan, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Yok Teng Kou, participated in a number of interdisciplinary

competitions and won good results.  Yuan Zelu was awarded first place in the South China Region of the 4th National University Computer

Competitiveness Challenge, third place in the 3rd National Financial Literacy Competition, and third place in the National University English

Translation Challenge. At the same time, he was awarded the Intermediate Professional Qualification Certificate of Marketing Planning by the China Business and Economics Association.

The outstanding results in the interdisciplinary competitions fully demonstrate the talent cultivation characteristics of FITM teachers and

students, who insist on diversified development while learning the professional knowledge of their own disciplines. In the future, FITM will

provide students with a broader platform to encourage them to apply their knowledge and skills, and to explore their potential.
