On the afternoon of November 22, 2023, the Faculty of International Tourism and Management (FITM) successfully held an academic seminar on the theme "How to Transform Research Interests into Journal Papers." The seminar aimed to help students in transforming their research
interests into high-quality journal articles as well as resolving various issues associated with academic paper publication. Dr. Bina Lin, an
assistant professor at the faculty, was invited to deliver the lecture, which drew lively involvement from master's and doctorate students.
All seats were fully taken in the seminar
Dr. Lin shared seven research design examples that provided an in-depth explanation of how to solve a research problem through research
methodology design, as well as notes on the implementation process, such as the rigorous data collection and the interpretation of research
results. She also shared tips on how to submit a paper, including journal preferences, submission considerations such as paper length,
graphing techniques, and review cycles.
Students listened attentively during the lecture
Dr. Lin's sharing was greatly beneficial to the students, increasing their enthusiasm and confidence in writing journal articles, while also
providing them with a clearer understanding of the journal articles writing process. FITM will continue to pay attention to students' needs,
organize a variety of thematic academic lectures, and continuously improve the quality of academic lectures in order to meet the needs and
expectations of students in academic development.
