It was a very rare opportunity for me to go to Sanya, Hainan Province with my teachers and classmates for a luxury management program.
During this trip, I not only learned a lot of knowledge related to hotels and tourism, but also experienced the services and environment of
branded hotels, which was a wonderful experience and gave me a deeper understanding of the hotel industry. The experience was amazing
and gave me a deeper understanding of the hospitality industry. I was also able to enhance my interaction with my classmates, which made
the program even more meaningful.
Wei Dianjia
Master of International Hotel Management (Chinese)
The hotel study trip in Hainan was an unforgettable learning and experience. During the study trip, we learned about the operation and
challenges faced by the hotel industry in Sanya, compared to the previous study trip in Macau where the operation of the hotels in the two
places were very different, and at the same time, we also had a new way of thinking about our own study planning. We stayed in two hotels
with different styles in Sanya, both of which left a deep impression on me. I was impressed by the five-star luxury service level and
professional team management, the passionate service attitude and meticulous work of the staff, and the local cultural environment of Sanya
in both hotels. During this trip, we also realized that there are still a lot of practical areas to learn and improve, communication skills,
interpersonal relationships, cross-cultural communication, teamwork and execution, etc., which are soft skills that we need to focus on in our
future study and work.
